Domenica, The Drifter

A search for purpose

Domenica's origins are unknown even to himself. He sort of just, woke up alone and afraid of the world he was dropped into. As he traveled throughout Eorzea, he began familiarizing himself with his surroundings and eventually decided to keep on moving, never looking back and always going somewhere new in order to find his purpose in life. Currently, contrary to Domenica's mission, there will be times where he returns to locations such as the Peering Stones and the Steppe, as those places boast expansive lands of emptiness in which he may rest and collect his thoughts.

Domenica, The Crimson Jester

Music is Life

Throughout his journey through Eorzea, Domenica eventually stumbled upon Ul'Dah, where he witnessed a troupe of entertainers and dancers which stayed on his mind for days. He would occasionally watch them from afar, but was delighted by their music and dance. Upon noticing one day of their absence, Domenica decided to take it upon himself to attempt to entertain the crowd in the spot where they played. He didn't draw much of a crowd, but the few that stood and watched him was enough for him to feel a purpose, and so he donned a jester's outfit and became known as "The Crimson Jester", where he would occasionally dance to music around Ul'Dah to dazzle and entertain.

A possible home?

After Domenica's distraction from Ul'Dah, he would eventually move on, drifting away as he would experience adventures as well as seeing the heroes who prevented The Final Days from occurring. Domenica would be inspired by such heroism, which would soon lead him to helping others in need and he would make a friend or two along the way. After much time he eventually returned to Ul'Dah to rest. It is then, that Domenica saw the troupe he was so fond of, performing for the people who surrounded them.He felt more courageous as before and approached the crowd, and eventually decided to guard the troupe from fans who felt a little too comfortable around the performers. One of the performers took a liking to him, and offered friendship as well as a community for him to be a part of. Domenica would eventually join this troupe of perfomers, where he is currently bodyguarding for them to this very day. Has Domenica found his purpose in life? Or will he eventually drift away into his next adventure? Who's to say?

Hardened and Teased

As Domenica bodyguards for the troupe, he gets to know and befriend them, eventually being part of what they called a "family". With each passing day Domenica's thick layer of his serious and quiet demeanor was chipped away as they would playfully tease him into moments of vulnerability. Now Domenica is more socially active as he tries his best to speak up more in this wide world he was once afraid of.

Nothing lasts forever

In the end, as all things come to an end, Domenica had some differences with one of the friends of the company he was bodyguarding, and after a passionate display of pain and hurt, he felt it best to distance himself from his troupe, returning to the world at large and searching for purpose once more. His painful memories only served to hurt him more, and the walls he tore down for them sprang back up as he repressed those memories in order to move forward, his quiet demeanor springing forth again as he becomes more afraid to be vulnerable around new people. He still continues bodyguarding, at one point protecting a princess and her "rebels", but his heart yearned for more, and so he distanced himself more to protect himself from being hurt once more. Will Domenica find purpose in his work? Only time will tell as he drifts along in this vast and cruel world.

DOMENICA, THE REBORN

Like a Phoenix from the ashes

In a strange twist of fate, as Domenica continued on with his life, he was visited by some old friends, who were from the troupe he left behind. It seemed that they too had some troubles within the troupe, and decided to leave their group behind in order to form another. Domenica was offered to join them and, while hesitant to do so, eventually joined this newfound group made from old friends, in hopes to regain that feeling he had lost long ago when he left in the first place.
